One of the world’s most captivating countries Brazil is a land of vast wetlands, timeless colonial towns, and wild metropolises. Brazil’s biodiversity is legendary in scope, its diverse ecosystems boast the greatest collection of plant and animal species found anywhere on earth. During this 11 day adventure, we visit the Pantanal which boasts the most iconic species in Brazil including toucans, blue-hyacinth macaws, howler monkeys, capybara, pink dolphins, anacondas, jaguars, giant anteaters, and thousands of other living species.

This trip is for the nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts!

DAY 1 – IN / CUIABÁ / CHAPADA DOS GUIMARÃES (D)
Arrive in Cuiabá, meet your guide and have a transfer to Chapada dos Guimarães (65km – around 1h30). After that, a short drive through the historical town of Chapada, Visit the first church of the State of Mato Grosso. Depending on the arrival time, depart driving along the Chapada do Guimarães cliff to the “mystical” Geodesical Center of the South American Continent. Enjoy a “bird eye” view over the National Park. With some luck we may see or at least hear the red & green macaws that nest on those sand walls. Further, drive through the National Park, to the Pousada Penhasco. Check in late afternoon. Light hike to enjoy sunset behind the 850m high “São Geronimo” Peak in front of the Lodge. Dinner and night at Lodge.

DAY 2 – CHAPADA DOS GUIMARÃES – National Park (BLD)
Breakfast and day devoted to wonderful hikes trough the National Park. The wind and rain sculpted intriguing shapes in the sand stones covered with rich “cerrado” (savanna) vegetation, its bird’s songs and crystal clear water falls add to the enjoyment of the area. Visit the 86m high water fall “Veu de Noiva” where we’ll enjoy a traditional meal at a local restaurant, looking down to a huge canyon. Dinner and overnight at Park Eco Lodge.

DAY 3 – CHAPADA DOS GUIMARÃES – National Park (BLD)
After breakfast, have a full day dedicated to explore the trails, private natural swimming pools (waterfall) and rock formation and the highest view point view of Chapada. The Geodesic Center of South America.

DAY 4 – CHAPADA DOS GUIMARÃES / NOBRES (BLD)
After breakfast, depart in a 3-hours-driving towards Nobres passing by impressive rock formations on the way. Arrival at Reino Encantado. Pick up equipment and depart to the activities.

Lagoa das Araras: a recognition trip where we also can observe de macaws on its rut period. By this time we are having a trekking activity around the lake. Return to the Reino Encantado around 7:30pm for Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 – NOBRES (BLD)
After breakfast depart for another snorkeling at Aquário Encantado: one of the Salobra’s river source with 6 meters deep where we are having the first floating activities among many species of gorgeous and colorful little fishes. Salobra River: a 500 meters snorkeling going with the flow. In the afternoon, visit the Cachoeira da Serra Azul for swimming. Return to the Pousada. Overnight.

DAY 6 – NOBRES (BLD)
After breakfast depart to the watering-place Estivado. Balneário Estivado: a crystal-clear water river suitable for baths and swimming. We also can do some wildlife spotting on monkeys, many species of birds and etc. 1 to 1 ½ meters deep. Have lunch at local restaurant at 11:30am. By the afternoon an optional of Tirolesa or another snorkeling activity at Rio Triste river. Return to the lodge around 7pm. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 7 – NOBRES / PANTANAL (BLD)
Breakfast. Depart to the Pantanal with many stops at Transpantaneira Park Road to observe the Fauna and Flora in a gorgeous transfer Safari till the Lodge. Arrival at Pousada Rio Claro and check in followed by a recognition walk thought the surrounding area, for some wild life spotting and others. Return to the lodge for Dinner. Depart for a night tour with spotlighting and overnight.

DAY 8 TO 10 PANTANAL (BLD)
Please see below the possible activities to be done at the Lodge. There would be 2 or 3 per day. Full board (BLD) is included.

ACTIVITIES

The traveler will receive the schedule at the check-in. The activities will be considering the lodge availability.

LODGE RECOGNITION
Arrival at the Pousada Rio Claro, at check-in the guest is welcomed with a Welcome juice, and then there will be monitoring of an employee of the Inn, to the general recognition of the property, such as apartment, restaurant, common areas (pool, TV room, bar, games room and others), riverside catwalk.

HORSEBACK RIDING
The local guide will accompany guests to the Bay of Pantaneiro, where it will give some instructions to mount and harness used by Pantaneiro after departure for the tour will be done in Largo Pepé. On this tour the guest will ride in a place where there will be dry and flooded parts with aspects of the Pantanal landscape and will have chance to see deer, peccary, Tortoise, and various types of birds.
DURATION AVERAGE: 2:00 hours.

BOAT RIDE
Exit the runway, to the river. The arrival on the deck, for vessels where the local guide will give some instructions for the ride and output pulp engined boats. On this tour guests down the Rio Claro, about 50 minutes, where there will be the chance to see monkeys, howler monkeys, giant otters, great variety of birds and the BIG SHOW WITH ALLIGATOR NAMED ZICO and Dorothea, the HAWK NAMED TICO and a little more luck with Tuiuiú CALLED Tuiu AND CALLED BAGUARI SERENA, return up the river, to the Pousada Rio Claro.

HIKING AT FIGUEIRA TRAIL
Depart to the Walk Ferry Footbridge. This trail is a border river, and is suitable for bird watchers, since there is a wide variety in this forest, and a visit to a magnificent tree called Figueira, with more than 200 years.
DURATION AVERAGE: 1:00 hour

HIKING AT MONKEYS TRAIL
Depart to walk the field. In this track there will be a wide variety of medicinal plants and be located in Riverside, it is one of the trails with great possibility to see different kinds of animals and birds.
DURATION AVERAGE: 02:00 hours
RECOMMENDATIONS: Use long pants, closed shoes, long sleeve shirt, hat, and do not forget to bring insect repellent, sunscreen, water, binoculars and camera.

HIKING AT CAPÃO DOS ACURIS
Depart to walk by the landfill. On this track the guest will have the chance to see wild animals traces, details of which will be explained by local guide, this journey is made by the field, the capon ACURIS, and the wide of Pepe and there will be a wide variety of finding this track, monkeys , deer, blue macaws, birds, capybaras, and others.
DURATION AVERAGE: 3:00 hours

SUNRISE BY ROW BOAT:
Meeting with Local Guide in front of the restaurant at 05:00 am, the river walkway exit until the arrival at the port for vessels in rowing boats or canoes typical Pantanal. On this tour the guests had left rowboat, with the still dark sky, and then he will contemplate the wonderful sunrise, with the awakening of life in the Pantanal with songs of various birds.

SUNSET BY ROW BOAT:
Meeting with Local Guide in front of the restaurant at 17:00, the river walkway exit until the arrival at the port for vessels in rowing boats or canoes typical Pantanal. On this tour the guests had left the rowboat with still sunny day, where guests will have the opportunity to see the sunset, with the recollection of life in the Pantanal with songs of various birds.
DURATION AVERAGE: 2:00 hours

ROWING BOAT TOUR
On this tour guests go up the Rio Claro, about 50 minutes, where there will be the chance to see monkeys, howler monkeys, giant otters, great variety of birds and the great magic of this tour and total tranquility and sounds of the Pantanal, since the guest will have 100 % contact with the silence and sounds of animals and birds.
DURATION AVERAGE: 2: 00 hours

VISIT THE TOWER – 25m:
Exit the runway of Rio until the arrival in port for vessels where the local guide will give some instructions to the motor to the boat ride. On this tour guests go up the Rio Claro, about 40 minutes, where there will be a stop for a visit in OBSERVATION TOWER 25 meters, and return to the Inn.
DURATION AVERAGE: 2:00 hours.

WILDLIFE NIGHT SPOTTING
Depart in a Safari truck, making a route of about 06 kilometers in total, where there will be the possibility of observing nocturnal animals.
DURATION AVERAGE: 01 hours and 30 minutes.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Light clothes, hat, and do not forget to bring insect repellent, sunscreen, binoculars and camera.

PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARI:
Out in front of the Inn, on safari truck, causing a roughly 16 km route in total for Transpantaneira where there will be the possibility to observe animals and birds with stops for explanation and photos.
DURATION AVERAGE: 2:00 hours.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Light clothes, hat, and do not forget to bring insect repellent, sunscreen, binoculars and camera.

PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARI WITH NIGHT FOCUS
Depart on safari truck, causing a roughly 20 km route in total for Transpantaneira where there will be the possibility to observe animals and birds with stops for explanation and photos and return to the Pousada Rio Claro, making the Focus night with celibrim for animal viewing and birds with nocturnal habits.
DURATION 3:30 hours
RECOMMENDATIONS: Light clothes, hat, and do not forget to bring insect repellent, sunscreen, binoculars and camera.

DAY 11 – PANTANAL / CUIABÁ (B)
After breakfast, transfer back to Cuiabá. Have a photo safari along the Transpantaneira. Arrive in Cuiabá, have lunch (not included) and depart to the Airport to board on flight out (not included).
